Introducing Logan Chiropractor Dr. Brian Peterson

I grew up in a small town in Wickenburg, Arizona and graduated high school there. Following high school, I joined the Air Force, where I was a fireman in California for four years. After serving in the Air Force, I choose to change professions, and for a couple of reasons, became a chiropractor.

I did my undergraduate study in Santa Barbara, California. Following completion there, I chose to go to Western States Chiropractic College in Portland Oregon. I graduated in 1998 and moved to Brisbane in January 1999. My main reason for choosing this school was because of its reputation as a very solid educational institution. It's a very science based program, and extremely demanding. I'll never forget the endless "all-nighters" my friends and I would do in order to prepare for exam weeks. I also wanted to live in the Pacific Northwest and experience all the outdoor activities that it offered. It's very different to the dry desert conditions of Arizona, where I was born and raised.

My main goal for our clinic is to assist people in leading the healthiest, most active, productive life that is possible for them. Whether it's simply pain relief that someone wants, or something more, our aim is to provide people with the knowledge and information to attain their own health goals. The most satisfying part about being a chiropractor is seeing people get back to the activities that they enjoy, or regain some of that energy so that they can enjoy more with their family and friends.

Can babies with colic be helped with chiropractic?
It's probably one of the times a parent feels the most helpless. But based on the research, chiropractic and colic relief appear to go hand in glove. With success rates in the mid-90% range, more and more Logan parents are seeing a chiropractor. If you have a baby with colic learn how chiropractic may help.
What's your plan to deal with drug-resistant 'super germs'?
Chiropractors have always been concerned with the indiscriminate use of antibiotics, accelerating the mutation of microbes that make "wonder" drugs increasingly ineffective. My strategy? Do everything possible to bolster my immune system through proper diet, rest, exercise, clean air, pure water and an optimally functioning nervous system with regular chiropractic care.
